Project Description

The “GiveBack to Algeria” initiative is embarking on an ambitious project to create a chain of hotels that will transform Algeria into a premier destination for both local and international tourists. This initiative aims to capitalise on the vastness and diversity of Algeria, offering visitors a unique experience that combines luxury with the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Algeria, the largest country in Africa and the Arab world, spans an impressive 2.38 million square kilometres. This vast land is home to a population of over 43 million people and features a wide array of landscapes, from the pristine Mediterranean coastline to the dramatic Sahara Desert, which covers more than 80% of the country. Algeria’s diverse geography also includes the fertile Tell Atlas and the majestic Hoggar Mountains, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.

The need for a robust hotel infrastructure in Algeria is evident. Despite its immense potential, Algeria’s tourism sector remains underdeveloped. By establishing a chain of hotels, the “GiveBack to Algeria” initiative seeks to address this gap, providing high-quality accommodations that cater to both domestic and international travellers. This development is crucial for promoting local tourism, creating jobs, and boosting the economy.

Each hotel in this chain will reflect the unique cultural and architectural heritage of its region. For instance, hotels in coastal cities like Algiers and Oran will feature Mediterranean-inspired designs, while those in the desert regions, such as Tamanrasset and Djanet, will showcase traditional Berber architecture. The interior designs will incorporate local crafts, art, and textiles, creating an immersive experience that celebrates Algerian craftsmanship.

Algerian hospitality is renowned for its warmth and generosity, and this will be a cornerstone of the hotel chain. Guests will be welcomed with traditional ceremonies, enjoy personalised service, and savour authentic Algerian cuisine. From the fragrant spices of a well-prepared couscous to the sweetness of date-filled pastries, the culinary offerings will highlight the country’s rich gastronomic traditions.

In addition to providing luxurious accommodations, the hotels will focus on sustainability and community involvement. Each property will implement eco-friendly practices, from energy-efficient technologies to waste reduction programmes. Moreover, the hotels will actively engage with local communities, offering training and employment opportunities to residents and sourcing products from local suppliers.

The creation of this hotel chain will also unlock the beauty of Algeria’s diverse landscapes for tourists. Visitors can explore the ancient Roman ruins of Timgad and Djemila, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and hike through the awe-inspiring Tassili n’Ajjer National Park, known for its prehistoric rock art. The coastal cities offer stunning beaches and vibrant markets, while the Sahara promises unforgettable experiences like camel treks and stargazing under clear desert skies.

In summary, the “GiveBack to Algeria” initiative’s hotel chain will play a pivotal role in showcasing the beauty and diversity of Algeria. By providing high-quality, culturally immersive accommodations across the country, this initiative will attract tourists, foster economic growth, and celebrate the unique heritage of each Algerian region. This network of hotels will not only enhance the tourism infrastructure but also embody the spirit of Algerian hospitality, making every visitor’s stay memorable and enriching.
